  • First daisies of 2013?

Was just driving into our local town today and spotted what I thought were daisies
...then thought- nooo- tis Feb- must be snowdrops on the grass verge.

Had to stop and look- and sure enough- the first daisies I've seen this year!

    ...Summer's on it's way folks!!!

I found violets in the veggie patch yesterday. I'll have to go and look for daisies!

No way?! Were they plastic ones?
Violets in my garden aren't out yet and the daffs are still only just pushed through clumps of leaves.

Daffodils and crocus in abundance in the park yesterday.
I cut 2 daffs in my own garden that the wind blew over.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Pop some bulbs around your oak

I was thinking of doing that, it'd be nice to have a ring of flowers around it every year.

Scillas, snowdrops, narcissus and native primroses encircle my trees. One day you might have an oak swing seat on it
