  • First BBQ of 2009

    Hi Grapes,

I've been off the vine for a while as i've had so much uni work to do, but I just had to share with you that yesterday I indulged in the first BBQ of the year! ...In March!!

Had the 'day off' as it was my birthday and spent the whole morning sowing seeds in the sunshine, lazed around for the afternoon and then went to the beach for an evening BBQ and several glasses of wine. It was absolute heaven of a day - possibly even the best birthday I can remember.

Hmm, am trying to upload an image of last nights sunset, but failing miserably! Nevertheless, it was stunning!

I do love a barbecue - my favourite way of entertaining. Relaxed, chilled out and loads of people. Love the ones that go on long into the night too.

Beautiful sunset, but feeling quite cross as you're pinching my title as the worlds earliest (and maddest) BBQer.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

                      Stunning pic, beautiful, dead envious.......

I love BBQs but I always end up having them indoors 'cause as soon as I mention the words, whoosh, down it comes, cats and dogs normally And a planned, invite ya friends bbqs is always an invite to sod and his law

If all goes well this weekend I'm gonna get the firepit out and sit in the garden with a glass of red with hubby on Friday night.

He's away working all week and I want to do something special when he gets back. So might get the barbie out and get a few steaks on the go!
