  • Finding all previous posts

    Hi
I'm trying to find all previous posts (from last yr) , I seem to be only able to get back so far and trying to find what I started off now last yr if at all possible.
(Just to see if I can do anything )

    Thanks

    Welcome back!
If you look at your profile page, select "find latest posts" and you can go back 500 posts - or "latest started threads " and you have 39 threads.

By the way, nearly all the images before February have been lost when the server crashed in January

Thanks, I've had a good search and I was this late last yr starting with troubles and funerals beginning of last yr...I said then I wasn't going to grow anything , but grew more than ever
Been feeling pretty low with dads decline and his dementia /nursing home situation, not wanting to do anything this yr, I don't want to tie up GH with toms which I really can't grow enough of, it's a slow season without heat in there and it's my 'potting shed' too. So, I think il have it as 'my space ' to ponder and muck about with soil and plants.
Mums been low , yesterday even more so hence why I appeared here. Had a good long chat with her , told her she needs the 'growing' element back again as enjoyed it last yr.
She agreed and out came the seeds. She spent 2hrs sowing seeds yesterday and I've dug all mine out , just need to set up GH, get some compost and start.

Thanks for replying yesterday and the welcomes...

Good to see you back CG

Nothing like a bit of gardening therapy eh?
What are you planning to grow this year-anything different?

                      Hi Nicos
No , I think I need to be sensible this yr. I tried 'different' last yr with kohl rabi, kale, Brussels , watercress ...none of which il do this yr, too much hassle.
I've various flowers il do, salads, sp onions, herbs, runner beans, I'm not doing potatoes, toms either.

How about some french beans, too? Lovely and rewarding, I always think.

Gardening therapy is the business. FWIW, when my Mum died, we acquired our plot about two months later. Mum loved gardening (although her speciality was more flowers than veg) and having the plot to keep me busy, but put me in a space that helped me think about Mum in a positive, fond way, just about kept me sane. It was such a blessing. Growing things and having our hands in the soil and our lungs full of fresh air has such a healing impact.

Hoping the season is kind to you.

Hi, CG. Hope you have a great year. For lovely flowers and prolific produce, how about courgettes? Plus, I'd second French beans. They're so expensive to buy (here at least) and so much nicer when freshly picked.
