  • fed up today :(

been slightly motivated the last few days, to get the fruit beds sorted and the veggie beds have mostly got cardboard down now, the compost is looking mostly good, another month and i should be able to get it down ....... today i was gonna tackle the polytunnel, ..... it's still in a tangled mass on top of the pond and move a few more fruit bushes

and what happens ....... we get a monsoon ...... i'm sick of the weather in this flipping country ..... sick of not being able to get stuff done when i feel up to it, and fed up of the smell of chickens, but DS is busy with exams, so i still can't get the chook house finished ......

the garden looks like a bomb site, i want to get the new pond in ready for babies in spring, but i'm not up to digging through 3 tons of bricks and stones to get it in

fed up of pain, lack of sleep and the house being a tip, fed up of the hallway being half painted ......i could go on .......... but basically I'm fed up of EVERYTHING

Aw Lynda, I was the same yesterday. It didn't help that I was thwarted with my 'mini-greenhouse' cover. I'd bought the wrong size and so have now waste a tenner!

Hope you feel more positive soon. If it helps, there is more daylight today than yesterday and there will be even more tomorrow!!

By the way, if you DO chuck water at Pixie, can you film it and put in on here? Ta!

Oh Lynda, poor you. It really sounds as though things are getting to you. Not surprised with the pain you have - that's probably grinding you down more than you realise.

You haven't got a touch of that seasonal SAD thing as well have you? People say the light therapy thing works if the weather's really getting you down. I'm just across the Pennines from you and usually if you've got rubbish weather, ours is ok, and vice-versa, but ours is dreadful as well today!

We've had snow, wind, and now it's freezing sideways rain! I promised baby girl we'd go and feed the ducks today but probably going to stay in... (it's ok 'cos she only vaguely recognises the word duck so I'm assuming she won't hold it against me.)

Make yourself a(nother) cup of tea, get a nice biscuit or seven and don't beat yourself up about not getting stuff done. There's loads of time and you WILL get it done, just not today...xxx

But despite being fed-up you're still here helping people like me on the vine. Just shows what a wonderful person you are. Unfortunately Mancester is a bit far away or I'd come and give you a hand.

(to explain, Lynda helped me on another thread earlier today)

Oh dear lynda you have got it bad today. If you'd have saved some of that chocolate you were munching on last night you'd have a little something to give you a lift today. Don't worry to much about the state of the garden, somehow us GYO'ers always manage to get caught up with the 'to do list' in the end.

The weather is getting me down a little at the moment. We have a little dry spell but as soon as the soil gets dry enough to get on and start digging, it rains again.
It is the doom of man, that they forget.

just been talking to mum on msn .... forgot it's dads birthday, she's just had an operation on her wrist, and i can't even get there to help ...... *would chuck buckets of water, theres enough of em in the garden but i can't lift a full bucket lol ..... anyway it's far too cold for water fights ....... maybe will save it for summer

i think i get SAD in summer too lol ........ at least we've only got rain ...... even asbo has come in, and he's usually out in all weathers so it must be bad

gonna finish my choccie from last night, and i've got a cuppa

                    Don't be fed up!
We've had exactly the same weather over here!
You've got a house full of lovely/interesting() pets
...and loads of peeps on here to natter away to whenever you need us.
Spring is only round the corner- and then you won't know what's hit you....you'll be running round like a headless chicken (*covers Pingu's ears*)

....AND - when Admin get round to it - you'll have the MOM banner- it's freshly laundered and pressed for you!

Pain and lack of sleep are never good

Big smile lass- there are always peeps in worse situations ,but you hardly ever get to hear about them. Doesn't help much I know- have a good cry, thump about a bit- eat some chocolate and go out for a crisp fast walk- whatever the weather. Then make a list of all the things you are looking forward to doing over the next few weeks ( don't think of them of 'HAVE to be done') with- or without help.

                    xx

It is the saddest day of the year (some psychologist did a maths equation and came up with today) Today is a bit of a bummer. It's horizontal sleet here, I've got 2 kitchen tiles still to lay (been here 3 years), kitchen to paint (paint is next to the floor tiles). I think the onions I planted in December may have gone to the great garden in the sky. You are a bit away from me to offer my help and to be honest you probably wouldn't want my help - do not read instructions, do not label things cause I'm always losing my labels, and I botch everything with my best friend the hammer Go and have a nice cuppa with choccie and put your feet up. The weather will get better and it will be easier to dig out the pond when you don't have to swim across your garden. Many Happy Returns to your dad and hope your mum is on the mend.

Well...don't know if this will cheer you up, but I had a mad dream about you last night. You had a big long narrow pond in your living room with baby ducks in it, and you were walking along it feeding them all and kissing them...only...you were topless!!! lol

I remember thinking at the time..."OMG, I knew she was mad...but topless!!!"

There you go...you maybe depressed today, but it'll pass. Enjoy alternative things...and wear a mask in the house to cover the chicken smell!

It'll be Spring soon...and we'll all be outside, enjoying our garden and some better (fingers crossed) weather!

Ps: I sincerely hope you have your bra and t-shirt on!
I love to talk about nothing. It's the only thing I know anything about!!

Big [[[[[[[[hugs]]]]]]]]]] Lynda. Spring gets a little closer each day!
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance
