  • Fed up with Daytime TV already!

Man!! I'm only one morning in to my weeks recouperation and I'm bored of daytime tv already. We've got Sky+, but seriously I've been up and down the channels more times than I care to remember and there's nothing to watch!!!

Thank goodness for you lot, or I'd go stir crazy!!

ooh heck - stay away from DTTV PB, you'll never be the same again and you MAY get sucked in
    *holds PB's feet

It always surprises me how many people say to me 'how can you work from home, I'd be watching day-time TV' - 'would you?' says I

When I had my back op, I was off for three months. I'd of killed"literally" to have had the vine back then!

Challenge for you PB - see if you can find a time of day when Top Gear isn't on!

I was off for 2 months when I did my elbow in, at the time we had SKY and I just watched paramount comedy inbetween falling asleep with the painkillers. I watched the whole of Seinfeld and far too many other US programmes; but I don't have it now and never ever ever have the TV on during the day, and mostly don't during the evenings either. It is total pants.

I'm afraid I like the 'company'. I hate being in a quiet house on my own - silly I know. I have got a big stash of old videos which I've brought back from the new house just for this occasion, I think I'll have to get stuck in.

I always reckon that if I start watching daytime TV you can measure me up for the wooden overcoat! I don't mind being on my own - and when I'm sewing I like to play story tapes or CDs - much better scenery!

Working part time I'm at home at least 3 days a week, but I don't put the telly on. Had it on when I was ill last year and accidentally ended up on Jeremy Kyle (was waiting for something to start after him) and nearly lost the will to live!! Staring at the wall much more fun than that.
My ex-stepmother loved talk shows and I had to sit through them all with her after school - now I avoid them like the plague. I put my walkman on if I want noise and get on with jobs, but now I'm training I'm out walking a lot of the time.
School holidays are a mare cos all pickle wants to do is watch the Disney Channel grrrrrrrr
Hope the R&R goes as planned and you get fully fit very soon xxx

Would you like to borrow my copy of Cloud Atlas?

It's a tough read, but worth persevering.

Note for zazen: See the bit about it being made into a film?

No, thank you very much though, I've got 'How to make friends and influence people' and 'How to manage your Boss' to wade through before I go on my PA course in February.
