  • Favourite Song By The Beatles

Name your current favourite song by The Beatles. Everyone has one, right....?

Me? It has to be Two Of Us from the Let It Be album.

No, sorry. I'm definitely Beatles era - they rose to greatness when I was in senior school but I don't have any of their music and don't have a favourite.

(There's always one that has to be different eh?)

So many to chose from but it has to be a toss up between "Penny Lane" & "Strawberry Fields".
I don't know if you knew but its John Lennon's Birthday today...he would have been 70.

Hence this thread starting! (I should really have said that in my OP).

I remember well the impact they had and sat glued to the tv and was enraptured by their strange hairstyle their immature, innocent appeal and the wonderful melodies. Love me do....is my favourite.

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

I love The Beatles, and I can see thay ADITL is a work of art, but........I find it quite dull. I'm not that keen on the whole SPLHCB album, if I'm honest.

The White Album will never be beaten in my eyes.

She's Leaving Home and Let it Be, but I am with G4 on the sentiment that "the one that has just finished". Lovely memories, lovely music.

I read that wrong then! I thought G4 enjoyed them all, not t'other way round. Doh.

Absolutely ditto!! But the first one that always comes to mind is The Long and Winding Road.

I walked down the aisle to 'All you need is love' and we walked back up the aisle (with my husband not doing a runner) to 'Love me do' so they have a special place with me
