  • Fantasy Football Help?

Okay.. I thought I'd join in on the Fantasy Footie in work this year and I dont' have a clue. I know I have a budget of £50 to spend on the 11 players, and that we're following the Daily Telegraph's version

Can anyone give me any hints or recomend any players? At the moment my list constists of the highest point scorers last year that fit the budget and doesn't include anyone new this season etc (as they have no points)and I guess it's not the best way to do this...

    Is this cheating?

Just don't do what I did one year and thought that once I'd picked my team that was it! I didn't realise that you needed to "manage" them throughout the season - which in turn meant keeping an eye on what was happening in real football.

Needless to say, I haven't done it since.

I'd pass unless, you like the idea of checking out the point scoring system of the premiership every week. You have to be some kind of addict for that.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Sounds like a good plan Shortie but be careful you don't come unstuck as some players could still get transferred out of the Premiership before the transfer deadline at the end of August.
I did Fantasy Cricket once years ago even though I don't know much about the game & was totally out of it when a couple of my best players went home to play for their countries in Test cricket in the middle of the season!

you need Torres and Fabregas for a start, then look at players that have moved like Crouch, last year he didnt play every week for Liverpool but now he has moved to Pompey he will start every match so will get a load more points this year.

            You need a good defence.
            Players like Carragher,Gallas,Ferdinand ect.

              Cheers Cloud

There's a guy that updates the scores each Monday on a spread sheet and sends it round to everyone involved so I won't need to keep my eye on the scores thankfully
