    Fantastic News setting up school allotment, YIPEE

    Since going to my current school I have set up a veggie plot for reception and the kids love it so much we have grown tonnes of things and it has made a huge difference to them. The older children have been asking if they can dig, and have a go so I thought why not see if we can get a lottery grant.
    I spent four weeks putting together our application and have just heard we have been awarded the full amount enough for a good size plot, with shed, tools and also a wildlife area with pond and of course fencing etc, native trees etc...
    I am thrilled and cannot wait to get started.
    When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~Author Unknown

      Well done Miffy, I know how hard a lottery grant application is. It will be great for the kids to be able to grow their own. Future Grapeviners perhaps?
