Fancy A New Name?

Good grief. I've never particularly liked my name but would never be tempted to change it, specially for something like that.

I'd like to change my name to 'Dude', it's what I'm most frequently referred to as - so it would make sense.

My surname is in her name - Hope I'm not related and expected to send her a card. I'd have to pay postage on a large envelope!

That name is just plain wacky! (should that have an "h", I can't decide)

I hated my name for years, particularly in my teens. As I grew older I learned to like it and especially over the last few years as it seems to have increased a little in popularity. My middle Golden Girl has my name as her second name and loves it. The children often ask me what my second name is and are surprised when I say "I haven't got one, not with a first name like mine"

I haven't got a middle name. My brother, sister, mom and dad didn't have one either. Everybody else I know seems to have one. My kids all have one.

Can't think of one that suits me though. Not really that keen on Donna either.

I understand why she's done it but I think in the general scheme of things one middle name is enough.

I was going to change mine to ... Theodore Hector Eugene Burn .... then plod would have been sending summons to ...

I met someone who had an unusual last name - short and sort of sweet. I asked them what country their name had originated from. The answer was that they didn't like their last name (whatever it was I never heard) so they took the first letter of their first name, their wife's first name and the two kids first names and made a last name out of it. Being a form filler I applaude people who have short names

How does her husband feel about her no longer being Mrs McManus, I didn't read the article, just saw the piccie!!

I've often thought it quite strange picking names for your offspring, it feels so solid and set in stone when you hear your own name yet when you were little it was randomly plucked out of the air.
