  • Ever stunned at a coincidence?

I am really enjoying myself getting a few things on ebay for my sisters hen night on the 28th. I am glad to be able to do something towards it, as I have had to leave most of the organising to my younger sister and the brides best friend who both still live locally.

I have found various things such as saucy straws, badges, table confetti as well as some biodegradable confetti for the day. I will also get a helium balloon as we have found that one tied to the bride to be to be most helpful in keeping track of where she is! It first worked really well with me, although they were most concerned when it suddenly dived down - turned out I had fallen down!! ooops!

The last thing on my list was the garter. My Mum had not liked my first choice and said it really should have some blue in it. So off I went again this morning into the depths of ebay and came up trumps with an ivory one with a blue butterfly - perfect as all the invitations I made have butterflies on them. Even better it was handmade - I like to support fellow craftsmen. I just thought I would look to see what else this seller had on offer, in case I could make a saving on postage and they had quite a few including one in a football teams colours. I nearly died with laughter when I saw it as it was in my brother-in-law to be's team colours! - WEST HAM!!! Seeing as my sister also occaisionaly goes to watch them play with him AND it of course still has blue in it, I just had to have a go at bidding on it!

West ham Wedding Garter/Garters on eBay, also Garters, Bridal Accessories, Wedding Clothing, Clothes, Shoes Accessories (end time 11-Mar-09 18:29:25 GMT)

    Wish me luck!

Oh..... Mum laughed when I told her but said I should get the butterfly one as a sensible choice but it was up to me if I wanted to get the West Ham one as well for a laugh so I did!

The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just on the body, but the soul.
