  • Edible garden show

    Hi all.
Has anyone ever been to the above?
I've just got tickets as in London next year so thought it would be nice day out.

Hi Green Gerkin, I went to this last year when it was in Warwickshire and thought it was great. I would definitely recommend it. Would have dragged my dear hubbie there again this year but it's gone up in the world and so they've taken it to London which for me is a bit too far away. Ah well, will just have to hope they take pity on us folk up north and do a separate one for us! :-)

Don't forget the folk in the west - maybe we could have one too

I went when it was in Warwickshire too, it was nice to go to a gardening show not in London. It was mostly seeds when I went, with a small livestock section and a few plants. I live down the road from Hampton Court so will go there over trekking to Ally Pally, which takes me nearly as long as getting to the Warwickshire venue on a weekend!

PS I don't mean to sound like a wet blanket - I did enjoy it a lot and the seeds were heavily discounted. I was hoping for some kit (coldframes) and more plants (fruit bushes etc). J

I went before they moved it down to London this year. It was based in an agricultural area then which seemed more appropriate than a city but suppose they think they can make more money down there. My opinion of the show was that it was a really good idea but not that well executed and I certainly was glad I'd not gone that far and tied it into visiting a friend. Hopefully it will have developed more by now.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I went twice when it was at Stoneleigh but I must admit the second time it was exactly the same as the year before. I didn't bother again as I like to keep learning and seeing new things.
