No link there so can't say - welcome to the vine by the way

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Looks very flimsy and wouldn't stand up to any proper wind and weather but it does depend on where you are siting it and what you want from it. I think there have been similar threads to this with people contributing who own something similar so it's probably worth a search. Personally I wouldn't get one as I'd rather have a proper industrial polytunnel which I don't need to worry about blowing across the plot but they do cost a lot more so you get what you pay for

Looks a touch flimsy to me to be honest, although I would reckon if you had any sort of shelter, and dug it in properly, it would probably survive a good wind.
You do get what you pay for, but another member on here, Sewer Rat, who grew fruit and veg for a living in north Scotland, had proffessional polytunnels, and they split in the wind, so it can happen to the best of them.
The advantage (?) of one that size is that if the top does split/blow away its not a huge task to replace it.

At first I thought no way as I thought it was plastic tube! But it is steel and the cover is UV stabilised.

I am sure I saw one on here the other year that another grape had just put up - worth a search!

I just searched and can't find the thread - but I am certain it was real and I did not just imagine it. They had dug the sides in and had pictures of it all.

                  Sorry!

Hi my friend bought one of these, and its in our garden as he only has a yard. Its sited on concete so drilled in to the concrete, its still there despite weather conditions being very windy at times and now having a weight of snow on it! Only problem has been the windows, they don't line up properly, and therefore don't shuut. tried stick in velcrow but it didn't stick! Thats been the only problem but then I don't have an other experiences. Was and is ok for our needs really mainly toms seedings, as its not especially in use over winter. Was ok as we are novices on the veg front and anything more expensive would have been wasted on us at the moment!

I had one of those greenhouses made like this and the first sign of wind and we spent hours chasing it round the garden. And then when we had a little snow it was to heavy and ripped the top right off it.
It was just to flimsy and light weight

thx for the advice guys, since this is my first year and on a tight budget i think i will purchase one,im in a shelter garden so its not going to be in direct wind path, but saying that if its gale force would a more expensive one stand up to it?
