surely if your doing 100 a month that is more a business than being a private seller getting rid of a few oddments.

I use ebay a lot and barely list 10 things a month, but then, I am a geniune private seller.

It might be free to list but everything will cost more (FVFs, picture insertions, gallery listings) etc.

And don't private personal sellers come after the paid for sellers on ebay nowadays?

And its only a 10p insertion fee after a hundred items.

That may bugger things up for my BIL, but as I havent sold owt in ages, and certainly not that many a month I don't have a problem. If you are selling that much stuff methinks you either have a business, or have too much time on your hands.

I like to get a bargain on eBay though, so I like the 99p starting prices. If starting prices are to be put up to, say, £1.20 then they often won't show up in my search (because I sort my lists by Low To High Price)

I did initially agree with you.
However, I have recently gone through the house & garage sorting out things to list on eBay. There's a lot, because only now in the summer hols have I had time to photo & list everything.
Then Mr TS gave me a box of old CDs to list, which took my total number of items to 99.

That's fine, I thought, under 100 items, still a private seller.

It was only when some items didn't sell, and I started relisting them, that I fell foul of the new rule. I was being charged 10p for each item I relisted (in addition to the normal fees).

I now cannot relist those unsold items until September ...
