  • Don't Panic Don't Panic

I was waiting in today for a repair man that was supposed to be coming to fix the dishwasher. Looks like I'll have to give him a ring and tell him not to bother. Not 15 minutes ago the b***dy thing just caught fire.

Panic over, Iv'e put it out and unplugged it. Just waiting for the smoke to clear from the kitchen.

Fortunately no damage to anything else but it is a bit whiffy in there.

Oh dear, if it's not one thing it's another. Looks like I'm in the market for a new dishwasher. Again.

got my dishwasher off ebay for a tenner

my telly did that ......when asbo was ikkle, he decided he needed to poo in the plant pot next to the telly, and kicked soil down the back of the telly, which caught fire ....... got me a new telly on the insurance though had to ban plants from the house after that.

My sister told me dishwashers are now the most common cause of fires in the kitchen and should always be switched off at the plug when not in use.
I had a washing machine which just went on fire. Big panic at the time.
Come to think of it I had an electricity meter which just went of fire.
Scottish Powers explanation was sometimes meters just go on fire

Glad you're OK and no real damage done.
