  • Do you have a tattoo?

For years I've always liked the idea of a tattoo - and periodically I have a look to see if there's anything I like, or that inspires me to design my own (I designed my sisters for her). As yet, I've never found anything that I'd want on me for the rest of my life. I don't really want a "trendy" or "chavvy" tattoo (arguably some would see tattoos themselves as chavvy - but each to their own).

Over the years I've seen some truly fantastic designs and some real tragedies (cartoon characters are my biggest tattoo dislike), and a few that have made me think - yeah, I like that, but never enough to go get one.

Do you have any? What made you get them?

Been having a look on here: Tattoo Designs – Largest tattoo gallery online. Ideas and art pictures for Tribal, Celtic, butterfly, cross, fairy, flower, lower back, dragon, sun, star, armband tattoos & more.

and I've seen a few that I quite like, but doubt I'll pick one from a "catalogue".

Go on, show us yer tatts!

I've got three! but i hate them (i had all three done when i was 18 and stupid) i've had one lot of laser treatment to get rid and need about three more

I do however love tattoo's on men - especially david beckham

Seems to me that you've really thought about it - so go for it

I have a couple of tattoo's that I got when I was young and daft.

You can usually tell someone's age by the style and where abouts on there body they have their tattoo's.

Modern style seems to be Celtic and single colour!

I wouldn't like one for me - nor would I be too happy if SD wanted one, but obviously if he did then that would be his choice.

Think long and hard dear Wayne, cos once you have it you have it - a bit like before you made Bean

I just think they're so chavvy Wayne. Oh please think again.
But if you really want to have something why not just go for the transfers you put on yourself and which wash off after a few showers. That way you can change your mind as often as you like.

I haven't got any - just not my thing, but good luck with finding something you like.

Is it Hayden being born that's re-inspired you to do it? (more pics for us to ooh and ahh at whenever you fancy by the way)

Mines between my shoulder blades and reads:

                  We will not Tire
                  We will not Falter
                  We will not Fail

This was part of mayor Giovani's speech about the fire fighters that died and searching for survivors on september the 11th. It's wrote on the side of the fire trucks in New York. Being a fire fighter myself and wanting a tatoo that meant something to me i had this done exactly one year after on september the 11th.

I think tatoo's should be something special to you as they're with you the rest of your life. My next one i'm thinking of having my sons name wrote in latin, have you thought of something similar just having a new arrival

slightly off topic here - but that same day as you were having that tattoo I was visiting GZ, it was a very humbling experience

Well.....having seen thousands of semi-naked bodies...I have to say I've seen quite a few!!

For females- a small flower or something looks very pretty. Chinese writing looks a bit strange ...why have a secret message in public????

The 'oldies' have sea/WWII tattoos which have blurred ..and a waste of time being wrinkly and often ..if named..not the relevant person...

Small- private and pretty are the answer I think Wayne..well - that's just my thoughts on semi-naked men of a certain age.....

Not my thing really. I could never settle on one thing either. I even change my 'signature' on here fairly often - because so many others strike me as being noteworthy.

I have two, one on my upper left arm, about the size of a 10p piece, and i have one on my lower back that goes upwards rather than across! i do not regret having mine but i chose the design carefuly and really thought about it before i had them done, i will be having one more on the nape of my neck but only the size of a 5p piece and it will not be seen unless i have my hair tied up. if you decide to get one be careful as they are very addictive and one will not be enough!
