  • Disappointed with the Easter weekend?

    I know I am - weather-wise that is.

I booked the Thursday off in the hope that there would be at least one day I could get to the allotment. Alas, withe a combination of visitors weather and other jobs to do, it was not to be.

Looks like I might get a couple of hours on Wednesday evening though...

On the upside, I spent loads of time with my family so it wasn't all bad.

I had a great weekend! Me and the OH went to the 60th British National Science Fiction Convention in Bradford from Friday to Monday so we were indoors and the weather didn't matter. Having gafiated for the last couple of cons we were worried we couldn't get back into the flow but it was like we'd neber been away. Great panel items, a fantastic orchestra performance and lots of beeblebears. You Mundanes don't know what you are missing.
    Even aliens garden!

Pretty damn sunny here in dorset. Monday afternoon was used to relax and sunbathe whilst appreciating the amount of work completed in the garden

Rubbish weather here and still is. Nasty low mists and mizzle. The sort of thing that makes your hair curl and your chickens retreat under shelter!

Friday and Saturday weren't good. I made some raised beds for family and painted one half on thursday and the other on friday...and again on saturday as the rain washed all the paint off. Ho humm....

                    but Sunday and Monday, lovely.

Doing loads of washing today and tomorrow....inbetween working....so hoping for a nice day as the greenhouse comes tomorrow and I want all chores out of the way for playing and getting it set up....wahoo!!!

Can't really remember the weekend (those painkillers are really taking a toll), but at least it didn't snow - it normally does at Easter down here!!

It's still miserable here - we've put the heating on! Even the daft chickens have been going into the house and looking out the doorway!

Still, I shall get me seeds out and sort out some kale or something, and have a sowing session.

The weather here was admittedly a bit hit and miss, but was actually slightly better than forecast. At some point over the last 4 days I've spent time with just about every member of my family and lots of time with the grandchildren. We've also passed a good few hours on the plot and, because I don't work Tuesdays anyway and the place I work has been closed Thursday to Monday, inclusive I've actually had almost a week off without using any annual leave. A perfect Easter, really.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
