England will never get the World Cup as long as Blatter is the head of FIFA.

One day a host nation will pull out. Then, FIFA will come running, cap in hand to England begging us to host the World Cup at short notice. I hope we tell them do one.

            But......Russia! Let's look forward to half-empty stadiums......mafia........racist chants.....neo-Nazi bigots........bare chested Putin........

Oooh and Qatar! Now that is a joke! 120C is typical in June and July.

As the world today is so fragmented and delicate. I think the result was well considered and just. As the president said losing is part of the game and we are good at that and I say that with pride.

I really couldn't give a fig's ear - I can't stand football but even to a novice like me it's obvious what a complete farce the whole thing is....and was always going to be.

How much ££££ did we spend on all this again????

But in the first and second rounds (i.e. the busiest time) they play 3 games a day and all need to be televised. You can't play only one game a day, and if you play all games at night it plays havoc with time zones around the world.
