Really sad, and how courageous of his wife to give such a statement to the media so soon after the accident. We were treated to a display by the Red Arrows over our allotments close to Dyce airport one afternoon recently and again at home the same evening. It was quite amazing but it is really obvious when watching that because they do fly so low that if anything goes wrong then there is really very little time or scope for the pilots to do anything about it no matter how skilled they are.

A terrible shame and how very brave of his widow to speak so soon after the tragedy.

Our unit flag is set to half-mast (as it should be) and will stay that way until after the funeral
