I will have to keep a watch out in the lottie pond, the last 2 days something has been making a pigs ear of the floating weed, and the little plant on the pond shelf, keeps getting up rooted and slung out, some of the weed is all dried out on the edge,i think it might be the frogs making whoopee

There have been lots of wee beasties flying around the garden for the last couple of weeks. Not sure if spring is coming or if they are just tougher around this neck of the woods
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Stuck a photo of the frog in the pong in the Wildlife Photos thread. Had to sneak up on the pond, half a dozen frogs plopped under the water......so had to wait for them to resurface. Pond is brimming with spawn and they're still laying more.

Didn't manage to photograph any of last year's baby Shubunkins who have survived the Winter - they're a bit quick.

On the way back in, I stopped in the chook house and collect eight eggs of various colours.

All in all, very Spring-like this afternoon!
