  • Correct quote and origin?

I heard it on one of Sean James Cameron's videos but I doubt he's the originator of the quote.

What is the correct quote for something like, "Do a little and do it often."?

And what is the source for the quote?

And if you have the context that would be a bonus.

    Thanks!

I don't think it's a quote as such, just a bit of advice given to new gardeners so they don't injure themselves. So it is safer to do 1 hour per day for a week than 7 hours in one stretch.

I always heard 'keep the hoe moving' but with no knowledge where it was first spoken.

I don't know if he is the originator of the quote - but, Charles Dowding has used it in his books.
Long before the habitual plagiarist and subscriber rip off merchant Sean James Cameron ever used it.

Similar to 'The best weedkiller is the Gardeners shadow'

to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

            There's one by Hesiod -
If you should put even a little on a little, and should do this often, soon this too would become big.
Variant translation: If thou shouldst lay up even a little upon a little, and shouldst do this often, soon would even this become great.

Don't hold back Kevin. Go ahead and tell us how you really feel.

Seriously, this is why I asked. I doubted he would have come up with it. Thanks!
