  • Confirmation of reciept or reply in response to MY original email!!!

    Arrrggghhhh.

I have recieved a very pointed email from the MIL checking that I had recieved the email SHE had sent in acknowledgement of the one I had sent, containing pic's of the reetlets BECAUSE I hadn't sent one back to say I had recieved hers!!! (With me so far?)

I am a polite person but what would happen next? Would she then send me ANOTHER email acknowledging reciept of MY 2nd email which was to confirm reciept of HER 1st email which was sent in response to MY original email?

Oh and next I would send yet another email to confirm etc etc etc....

Madness. Utter madness. I have too much todo as it is.

As my SIL says, it's great to have your mother in law living nearby; she never has to come to stay
Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you are probably right.

If you dig about in your Email program options/settings there is normally one to automatically send a receipt.

My MIL is a technophobe. I'm just lucky I guess.

Sounds a bit like getting a phone call to ask if you got the text that acknowledged the text you sent to say you got the message that said they'd arrived safely!

(And no, not from MIL, from teenage daughter!)
