    Computers & Me Again

    When I bought my new putor about 55 days ago it had Norton anti virus pre-loaded as a 60 day free trial. At the time of purchase I was given a disc with Norton 360 Gold on it as well.

    Can I presume that I can just load this disc on to the putor and get another years protection.

    Don't see why not if the disc is paid for. If it isn't, you'll get a pop up or suchlike telling you that you need to buy it, before it will be activated. Stick it in and see.

      Thanks MH yep its a genuine disc with the activation code supplied. I was just worried if it might cause conflicts with the program already on the putor.

      You know me OK with hammers & spanners b8888r all good with putors.

        Personally when the preinstalled antivirus says it has run out, uninstall it via "Control Panel".
        Then install Norton 360.

        If you dont uninstall the other version it may cause conflict between the 2 copies and you may still get the "Nags".

                  AVGFree is one of the better ones Pots.. Free Antivirus | Download Free Virus Protection Software | AVG

                  Follow the free links as the site tries to get you to download the pay versions.. Much better, and less resource hungry (memory it takes up) than Norton

                      Thanks Chris, I got this disc free when I bought the putor.

                      Just told the guy in PC World Business 'no free disc Potty no buy putor'.

                      I will certainly seek advice when this gets close to running out.

                        I think you need to buy a new one because the disc which you are telling you have without paying for it is not useful. So you can change the antivirus by any other which is low in price. I am using the kesper sky on my "putor". lolxx I like this word which you use as my younger brother pronounce the the computer like you.
