  • Colour blind aphids

We've been overrun (or should that be "overflown"?) by clouds of greenfly and blackfly lately. As soon as I squash them more land on the plant ...
Today, when I was inspecting my toms I found a mutant (cue Twilight Zone music) - a red greenfly.
The problem with rounded personalities is they don't tesselate.

I would have said "sunburn" if we hadn't had such bad weather.
Sent from my pc cos I don't have an i-phone.

Wow. It's taken me 50 years to see a red one. Hope it doesn't take another 50 to se a pink'un.

            Wot, no Tories ? !
Isn't that just typical. Every other sort of politics represented, except that of the Conservatives. Oh well, maybe they're represented by some bloodsuckers somewhere.
            (Just kidding. )

There are loads & loads of different aphids ~ over 500 species in the UK. Greenfly and blackfly are just the commonest ones to cause the gardener grief

                    !!!
So that's why people who can only visit their veggie patch once a week take up tiddlywinks !
