Default Clean sheets

I have just changed the sheets after spending two days in bed with a bug and now OH has come home with the same bug.
I am in a dilema about work as tonight I have to go in at 7pm till 11.45pm
I dont feel one hundred percent and it means leaving OH and flowers to look after each other, OH will be ok its leaving flowers aged 12 that concerns me should I ring in sick or go in, I will loose pay not that its much. I have till 5pm to make up my mind.

Jackie, if you are working with food or in the care industry you shouldn't go back to work for at least a week after your last bout of bad belly.
(You may spend that time gardening though!!)

I think thats the right decision too - your health, and that of anyone you will come into contact with, comes first and I'd like to think your employer will agree as well. Take it easy another day or two, hope you feel better.

Your kidding moggssue as I was off for 2 months earlier in the year because of my shoulder I am well over my % rate and will probably get a warning. I have phoned in sick and personel manager answered and although he made the right noises, when I have my return to work next week I expect to get a warning. I have to phone in 24 hrs before I return or risk being sent home again. (everyone has to do this. )
I am a bit worried about OH as he is diabetic and this is the first time he has been Ill since being diagnosed a couple of years ago.

our official advice for sickness and diarrohea is 48 hours after the last bout of sickness or diarroahea.

As for your OH, he needs to keep an eye on his bloodsugars (they will probably be high) he also needs to check for ketones. If he has ketones, he needs to drink a lot of fluids every hour, he will need to give himself extra insulin, but I don't want to advise you of how much as that is a doctors job, and I wouldn't want to misadvise you. It will probably take him longer to recover than a person without diabetes.
Phone your diabetic team for more advice
(I have been diabetic since I was 10, and am now on the dafne regime, which means I can eat what I like and change my insulin accordingly, which is another reason I cannot advise you too completely on your OH's regime, as it may differ)

Right choice jackie. Family and health first. Hope you all feel better soon.
