Christmas!

I'm making mainly edibles; codials, jams, chutneys, jellies etc. Am also going to have a go at truffles and crystallised ginger as my friend loves ginger. Have bought a couple of cheap honeybread baskets in which to put the bits and pieces. Also some buff coloured parcel tags which I am planning to decorate myself. Have not tried cosmetics as I'm still trying to master the art of jellies

Sounds nice. I've never been a big jam/chutney etc maker, although I have made a few. I have made fudge etc which seems to go down a treat

I made some cranberry and apple chutney last week the plans on putting it into some hampers for various peeps. I also have some sloe gin on the go. I have quite a lot of jams too, so will mix and match what everyone likes. Planning on adding some peppermint creams, chilli vodka, and fudge...maybe cakes, or biscuits....
I got some lovely small wooden vegetable trays from the farm shop to out everything into.

Not quite the same but I am making my son a make-your-own-flapjack kit - a baking tray, golden syrup, peanut butter, oats, sugar and a recipe card.

Oh and I am knitting everyone scarves (well my kids and Dad

Doing hampers - have jams chutneys jellies plus sloe gin, limoncello etc. Also gonna make biscotti, have a go at orange and clove pommanders, andcandies orange peel.
Also fancy a stab at bath balls

How do you make fudge, is it easy, meaning could I even do it?

Oil and beeswax. I make my own infused oils eg - Calendula (been collecting petals all summer) you can add lots of things, 100% essential oils if you want, honey the list is endless. I don't use flavours or any chemicals its all from my garden or kitchen cupboard. I get the beeswax from a local beekeeper. There's lots of stuff for sale online but a lot of the cosmetic grade beeswax has chemicals in. Try it if only for yourself. I'll never going buying any from the shops again. This stuff really works and makes a lovely gift

I'm really enjoying this thread!!!...lots of interesting ideas!!!

I'm going to make a few hearts out of hazel twigs with a couple of pieces of lavender to give off a gentle scent. ..and a pretty bow of course! ( ..and yup- the lavender and hazel are home grown!!)
