  • Christmas Stockings

Here are the stockings I've been working on recently. The appliqué ones take quite a few hours work as I use my sewing machine to 'draw' the details onto the felt pieces. They're all lined with matching fabrics, so the Snoopy appliqué has Snoopy Christmas fabric inside etc etc.

Sparkly owl - I'm pleased with this one.

I'm working on another two owl stockings in different colours now.

They are really nice, but I must admit to being a bit disappointed.

I saw the thread title and dashed in expecting sheer nylon.

Outstanding! Each Christmas stocking is a masterpiece. I bet you would be a wonderful quiltmaker also.

No, my kids had decorated pillowcases....but I stopped doing stockings last year in our house. Pillowcases cost the earth to fill for teens & twenties! I've kept their 'stockings' to pass on to any grandchildren that might come along one day. I'm down to one advent calendar this year too but, again, they've been put away for grandchildren.

I'm really enjoying the freestyle sewing machine 'drawing'.....better than bog standard straight stitching.
