  • Cheered me up!

So typical - im on holiday from work with a big list of jobs I wanted to get done around the house and garden, but have had a miserable stinking cold which has left me feeling less than energetic!

I decided to cheer myself up with an ice cream (for the sore throat obviously) and a read at Sept GYO mag - cheered up even more as I'm in it!
(Well a post I submitted re watering).

    I'm so easily pleased

          This will cheer you up.....

The boy stood on the burning deck,
His heart was all a quiver,
          He gave a cough,
          His leg fell off,
          And floated down the river.

              Oh Oh here's another one......

The boy stood on the burning deck,
              Playing a game of cricket,
The ball went up his trouser leg,
              And hit his middle wicket.

You do know that I am secretly employed by your boss to get you back to work as soon as.....

How about the good old favourite

                  I eat peas and honey
I've done it all my life,
                  The peas take rather funny,
But it keeps them on my knife.

Just had a read at the mag yesterday and did notice that you were quoted in it along with, I think, jay-ell and pots!

Hope your cold gets better soon so that you can enjoy your holiday and of course your new found fame!
