  • Cheap spuds at ASDA

I was in asda yesterday and spotted some potatos on offer they was called traditional potatoes and upon reading the blurb on the bag the variety was Mayan Gold i thought we will have some of them .
The price 1.5 kilos for 50p and they are gorgeous so if you shop at asda give them a try at that price a steal .
And these are good for chips if that is your thing .
Ps i do not have any shares in asda ....jacob

We bought some 'new' potatoes from Asda the other week. They were called 'Marilyn' and they were lovely. I'm assuming they are a second early, but I've never heard of the variety before.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Thanks, Redthorn. If they ever become available here as seed potatoes I'll definitely give them a go.

                Hi

Makes me think I would prefer to eat "normal" spuds, ones without chemicals that stop them growing; most of mine seem to sprout in the cupboard!
