I find when changing threads or pages etc I have to wait while inane adverts I am not interested in load up. I find this annoying as if I want an item I will go look for it. Can they be stopped and if so how? any way gripe only. I would use the site more but for this annoyance.

I'm running Google Chrome, so I have this wonderful extension called Ad Block. Don't know if it's just for Chrome?

You could turn off images. Then you would get a placeholder instead of a picture, which loads much faster. If you want to view a pic, you can just right click it and click <show image>
