    Celeb spotting... sort of!

    This morning i was working hard in my college library and who should walk in but Matt James!

    Now i'm hoping you grapes will know who he is cos i told this story to 4 other people ad they all said... 'who?' (For the benefit of those who don't he is channel 4's 'City Gardener' and 1 of the experts in GYO mag.)

    Anyway, it was one of those double take situations, but i was certain it was him. Feeling too embarrassed to say anything i carried on 'working' but eventually pluked up the courage to go over just as he was leaving and say...
    " Excuse me, are you matt james?"
    " Yes" he said
    " Oh!" i said and then continued to mumble something incomprehensible and then he left!

    Now i feel like a super muppet for not having anything interesting to say, or ask

    Has anyone else had one of those brain fart moments? It would make me feel better to know i'm not alone.....

    Cawse I know who Matt James is - cool dude in my humble onion.

    Well all's said and done - slebs are only human beans after all.

    Good incentive to spend more time in the library I'd say.

      My nephew recently supplied the food for a large party in London he was supposed to drop it off but seeing they didnt have the right equipment he offered to bring it back later. He arrived in jeans and t shirt and was asked if he would like to stay, not having anything particular to do that night he said yes, as the evening wore on he saw Danni Minogue, Peter Andre, Princess Eugine among a few others and as they were all wearing masks he didnt know who was there just the few who let their masks slip.

        Wow!!! The only slebs I've ever been close to are Paul McCartney (touched his left foot when he was singing Love Me Do when it was Number 1), Cliff Richard but lost my autograph book, Tommy Steele and Adam Faith (all when I was about 17). Last year at a craft fair I saw "Roy Cropper" from Corrie, so I asked him ever so politely if I could have his autograph. He was absolutely charming, pulled a photograph out of his pocket and signed it speshly for me

            The Beatles came to Teignmouth when I was about 10ish in the late 60's I think, I remember standing outside what was then, The Royal Hotel on the seafront. I saw Cliff Richard in concert a few times, I cant think of his name now but someone made a film again in Teignmouth I watched it being made then I went to the cinema to see it it was a comedy film. My daughter was presented to Princess Anne when she opened the Penguinn place in Torquay ( why has my mind gone blank today !!! ). Living coast ( just asked daughter as she came in from school )

              Happybunny has meet Colin and Justin at the home show got their autograph and had a discussion about her hat. Met the guy who plays Seamus Finnigan in harry Potter we were in Bridgwater in Somerset visiting my aunt and he was signing Autography for children in need at Clarkes village.

                When I was working at a large chain of pet shops I sold Dawn French a guinea pig and gave her advice on stick insects.

                  Have recently met Rick Wakeman and Mick Fleetwood. My worst moment was when I met Christopher Lee. I shook his hand and just giggled like a complete Numptie!! I cringe every time I think about it.He was very distinguished and imposing.

                      i walked past Sean Connery in the street a few years back....i was walking along head down, heard this voice and thought, that sounds like James Bond and sure enough when i looked up it was....and we had eye contact for ooooo....4 secs!!.
