  • Cats! sigh....

I have one of those great egg helter skelters which I got for my birthday, however I have had to stop using it for a bit. One of my cats has worked out that if they swat the egg at the bottom, then push it off the counter it smashes on the floor. So between the 2 of them I can lose up to 10 eggs per night!

Not sure whether to be totally p*&d at them or laugh at their ingenuity

What you need the clever cats to do now is to learn how to make omelettes.

My cat used to help the dogs - he used to climb up and get stuff that had been put out of their reach. Best haul was half a cooked chicken that had been left under the eye level grill to cool before putting in the fridge (never made it that far).

I love cats. Have you noticed how people maybe "like" or "don't like" dogs, but they "love", or "hate" cats. Ignore me, I'm on my way.

Ah, RT - ain't that just the way with cats!! You'll have to modify the design somewhat or put it somewhere they can't bat the eggs around from. I have a cat that has learned to sharpen her claws on the loo roll - unravelling the lot onto the floor!!
But they are such companions, aren't they!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

My 3 did that as kittens too, recycling boomed here.

At the moment smallest (avatar) is watching snow watch, bro is kipping next to me on settee and big sis is off snoozing somewhere.

I can always tell when night temp drops as I am pinned in the bed as 3 of em snuggle as close as they can get (maybe I should turn the heating on......)

I always read Binley's posts as if 'Bucket Head the dog' is saying them. Re-read the post, look at the expression on 'Bucket Head's' face and tell me you haven't melted

Jake (aka buckethead) absolutely detests cats for no reason . He's sees squirrels when I walk him and doesn't bat an eyelid but see a cat and he's like something possessed. I can always tell if a cat has been in the garden cos when he goes out his hackles go up whether it's still there or not.

We have four cats. Liquorice, Badger, Elsa and Tig. We always used to put remains of joint / chicken in microwave after carving until it had cooled enough to go in fridge. Tig has learned how to open microwave and the other three have learned to sit and wait for Tig. Have had to find somewhere else for joint now.

You can't be angry can you? You can only admire their ingenuity.
It is the doom of man, that they forget.
