  • Can we say spring has begun ?

Wow, just checked greenhouse temps, 31.7c, chilis and peppers should be loving it.

Heating is off, that is just the temperature created by the sun shining,,,,,,,,,I can not believe I said those words,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Sun Shining.......

How hot is your greenhouse today ?

My greenhouse temperature is high in the day - but it's well donw in the minuses at night. That's the problem - minumum temperatures and light levels. I'm still keeping most of my seeds in the packets!

Same as Auntie Flum. But the anticipation is killing me So I'm going to play with the mud tomorrow to keep me away from the seed packets. Hoping to plant my cossetted apple tree.

Chilli seeds in the airing cupboard and leek seeds in the greenhouse, but the snow this week is only just melting!

I tried jogging, but I couldn't keep the ice in my glass.

Yes, I think spring is on the way. It was 8 degrees on my outside windowsill today - warm enough to put my spring onions and leeks out there.
Another week and my (heated) conservatory will be finished. Can't wait.

i'm confused, is that celsius or farenheight?? cos 89 sounds very hot for february ???

              31.7 degree Celsius = 89.06 degree Fahrenheit

              31.7 degree Fahrenheit = -0.1666667 degree Celsius

it's only 12 degrees C in my house and it only gets to 18 in the hallway with the central heating on ..... can i move into your greenhouse please??

And back on topic... my windowsill thermometer (east facing) got up to 12 C today. Must cram a few more pots on there!
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

I have just bought a min/max thermometer for my NEW greenhouse (!!!), my husband thinks I'm bonkers, I'm in and out checking the temperature ALL the time! Like Flums, the night time temps are still in the minuses, so however tempting it is, seeds are staying in packets for now.
