  • BT free calls: not till 7pm now

Just a heads up in case anyone missed it (the info is in small print buried in your bill)

Free evening calls will start at 7pm (not 6pm) from 1st April

Yes, very sneaky. And the free calls will start from 7am and not 6am as well.
This will catch a lot of people out. I already wait before making calls until after 6pm which is when most people will have got in from work and are making quick calls. By moving the start time to 7pm this will ensure more money for BT as calls after 7pm will be too late for people who are trying to sort out their evening arrangements. Oh yes, theyv'e done their homework alright!

Whilst we are on BT i advise every BT customer to sign up to 18185.co.uk

They are an override provider and BT can not legally block them, other companies can and do but not BT

You have to use Direct Debit but landline calls are 5p PER CALL you choose when to use the service obviously only before 7pm to use you just dial 18185 then the number you want

      Simples

P.S i dont work for 18185 and there are others but i do use 18185 and it saves an awful lot on the phone bill

Can't remember where I saw this first, but I was aware of it, they're shifting the goal posts from 6PM-6AM to 7PM-7AM. Can't see how it's a profit making move, after all after the first quarter everyone's going to be aware of it. And really, as long as you're aware of it, how many calls do you desperately HAVE to make on your landline between 6 & 7?

We get phone , broadband and telly with them . Thinks it's about £30 a month (but don't quote me on that!)

Don't get me started on BT on their sneaky tactics! Look at my thread re -my phone bill. Nothing surprising me with them! I am still awaiting a phone call in response to my bill, funny enough it ain't happened. Maybe they can't answer my questions!
