  • Broadband not working Friday night?

My broadband went off last night. I pulled the house apart checking wires reconnecting router etc all to no avail.
Logged on this morning to find out on BBC news that tens of thousands of BT broadband customers were without internet access as well!

Spose I can't complain too much as its the first time I've 'Been without' for at least five years!

Ours went off a few days before yours. Was off for hours, came back on, then went off again half an hour later. I gave up and turned the Poota off, and watched the Telly for a change instead!

My BT broadband phone gives up the ghost every couple of months, but a short unplug and re-boot fixes it. This sounds as though something bigger went pop.

Yup - the whole of the Village was off. They never bother to let you know, just pull the darn plug. It must drive Businesses potty!

I can just see BT phoning 20,000 premises to let them know their broadband is down

                  Nutter!

My point is that other utilities manage to send out a letter...

That would take foresight and planning, not 2 words that I would attribute to BT

Knowing BT, they'd probably let you know by email!
