    Whos watching it tonight?

    Who would you vote for?

  • #2
I'm watching, but I don't know who I'd vote for, not that I ever do on these things. My daughter saw Signature at her school, she knows one of their relatives, and we think they are great, but so is George, Farrel, the violinists and Andrew.

I totally agree with you BarleySugar, the latter half of the show was the best. I didn't watch the auditions or the semis but watched the final and think that anyone could win... hopefully it will be one of the final 5 performers though.

So pleased that George won, but I did feel for Andrew. There's no runners up prizes are there?

I felt he really deserved it, after not being good enough last year, and instead of giving up, coming back and winning! Vicky (16) said he was adorable too, if only he was a couple of years older! Interesting she picked him instead of the martial arts guys.

I don't go for the Lloyd Webber progs, I think he's done the casting that way just to up the publicity. A bit like the kids being in the local pantomime, so parents and relatives have to pay to go and see it, sells more tickets.
I got into watching this one with Vicky, because she wanted me to see some of the acts, and I was surprised at the quality of some of the contestants. We don't phone in, especially with all the problems they've had on all the channels over phone ins.

Do you know what, I looooove crap TV, as people call it, if we all liked the same things the world would be a boring place.

This kid now has a chance to change his life, at 14 he could be one of those kids on the street that robbed my son, but no he uses his talent to dance and make people smile and fair play to him.

THis is far more enjoyable TV than watching the news and hearing about the tragic things that are happening in this world, sometimes crap TV is a way to escape.

Good on you George, also BS your daugher is right he is cute (my daughter 12 says so too) and also very modest and lets hope that there are more Georges out there like him.

Call me cheap, i dont care !! ha ha !! i can still sit and watch Time Team, Spring Watch, Gardners World, University Challenge etc, etc, as I said earlier, if we all liked the same things, the world would be a boring place.

I just watched ordinary people do amazing things and it made me feel good, nothing wrong in that!

As far as I can see, BBC Saturday/Sunday evenings are one long advert for Lloyd-Webber's forthcoming stage presentation and ITV seem to be owned in whole or in part by Simon Cowell's organisation - although he's not a judge on BgT, apparently, like the X factor, he's seriously involved with it.

Just not my thing at all I'm afraid.

Simon was a judge on BgT, along with Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan. Ant and Dec presenting. I think the reason I did enjoy this one is it showed just what some people, youngsters in particular, can do when they are determined enough. Piers Morgan did say this last night, but I'd already thought it, with so much negative stuff we hear about young people today, it was lovely to see so many who were obviously committed to practising and perfecting their acts. The ones who got to the final were not people who were just there for a laugh, they had genuinley worked hard. Hopefully even those who did not win will get some breaks because of the publicity, they deserve it.
I know this is going back a long way, because i can't remember properly, but wasn't there always some talent shows on the TV anyway? Did Hughie Green do one? Dim and distant past, I must have been very young (once anyway!)
I think the problem is now there are so many, one finishes and another takes it's place. I do love the ballroom dancing though, I used to dance a bit, but since the broken ankle 3 years ago, no can do anymore.
