  • Bring on the heat and the sun!

They say it's gonna be about 26 degrees tomorrow and full sun, oh yeah, Summer is here.

Then a mixed bag of sunshine, cloud and some rain but 23 - 30 degrees for the next few days.

Think I will spend a good chunk of tomorrow down the lottie and then get the mass of paperwork I have fallen behind on sorted when the rain comes.
Life should be more like Bonsai...

      About time it warmed up

I'm really looking forward to 'holiday weather' seeing as I'm not going away this year.

Stocked up with cold drinks, salads and barbecue type food, sunscreen and chicklit........bring it on!

Due to be 28/29 here. Eeeeeeeep. Am just off to soak the plot and then to take refuge in my cool, north-facing flat!

I'll be the party pooper, I really hate the heat. I can't garden in it and it's starting to get warm here already. Forecast around 26/27 for me. I'm off to water my toms now.

I'll be a party pooper with you Scarlet. To much hot weather disagrees with me. I end up getting covered in prickly heat and Hans eczema flares up really badly.

I never thought I'd miss my north facing flat! Used to be freezing in the winter, but lovely and cool in the summer. My new south facing flat is like a green house! Too hot now.

Though things seem to be shooting up at the allotment, so can't really complain about that.

It's so hot here already! It's probably great if you just want to sit in it. I'll share some with you Jay. I also get prickly heat NVG and I think it may be the year of the horsefly cos I've been bitten a hundred times.

                    It's beach weather for sure

38 degrees already and having been attacked by a herd of horseflies I've retreated inside. I wonder how the Spanish grapes are doing?

Horseflies! I'm very allergic to them (and mozzies and sandflies). I've only been bitten by them twice in my life but the flesh round the bite swells up like a football and I feel sick and get a horrendous headache. I'm terrified of them. I'm not scared of bees or wasps as they only sting, they don't make me physically ill.

I wish I had a garden to cultivate. I can, however, take my tea/coffee down to the bottom of the garden and enjoy the sunshine in or out of my new shed. :-))

I know some forestry workers and they always recommend A@on Skin So Soft (green bottle) to keep away biting insects!

I'm looking forward to some sun and heat - some of my crops are just teeny as its been so cold n windy here! I'll be slapping on a high factor as my Scottish milk bottle skin tends to burn quickly!

Hope you all stay healthy in the heat - drink lots of water, plenty of suncream, hats and loose clothing, and enjoy looking at your efforts while resting in the shade!
