  • Briggs and Stratton 3.5 Mower

I have acquired a B&S 3.5hp engine code 95982 its in need of some tlc, as anyone got one and could send me a picture of how all the linkage on the carb connects up, it would appear something is not right as it will only run at full throttle.

    Thanks in advance

Yes looked on there but sadly the drawings don't show much detail, am going to try and email Briggs & Stratton.

I hope I'm wrong but if your mower is 5+ years old the carb could need degunking .The additives in the petrol clog the carb - in round the needle etc . When I enquired about how to clean it I was told it would be easier to replace the carb.
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.

I have a new carb but it come with 2 springs where as mine only had 1 and any online diagrams are not clear enough 5+ years ago manuals were not in full colour with actually photos

Will put the spring back on as per the original fuel it up and see what happens.
