Absolutely persisting down here. The guttering on the ground floor extention is over flowing; looks like the rapids!
Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you are probably right.

I'm in Lowestoft (furthest east you can get) and it's been raining steadily since the very early hours, but not torrential. I think that bit is further inland, but apparently there's another lot on the way

If you want to cheer yourself up remember the drought orders earlier this year - what a joke!!

Well it's raining now in Chadderton. My lawn was soggy last night so I imagine it'll float away if we have too much rain.

We had an hour or more of monsoon last night, it was so heavy the houses across the road looked blurred. The entire road was a river, lapping at the bottom of the driveway. The power went off four or five times. This morning it's just 'normal' rain, and it looks to be draining away, thankfully. If it gets any heavier though, I think further along the village will have problems, as the beck has burst its banks before now and the ground can't absorb any more. The sandbags are out ready though, so they are prepared for it.

I'm very thankful that we live on a slight hill, so the water always seems to be flowing past us, rather than getting into the house...

Very wet here. Has rained almost without ceasing throughout the night and thus far in the day.
