  • Book; The edible garden by Alys Fowler

Just had a peek at this and it is brilliant. Full of quirky picture and lots of unusual hints and tips. Will be going on my Christmas list, a bit different

Did you not see the accompanying TV show? She has a new new one out called Foraging, I think.

It is called the thrifty forager and was released fairly recently - I see Waterstones online have it for £11.

The book is alright, yep - some good tips in it what to do with the food you grow. I got it for fathers day, which was a nice suprise as I was watching the show - didn't even know there was a book

A new tv show too, VVG? or just the book?

edit: 9.69 on Amazon, do you have the book VVG?

I don't have the book but I did record the series, which I replay often. I am wanting the new book though and it is on my birthday wish list.
It is my understanding that the forager book is a standalone rather than an accompanying tome. She has been running foraging walks local to the Midlands, one of which I went to - follow her on Twitter for news on those. She has also done radio and newspaper/magazine articles recently on this topic. It is my understanding from reading some articles that she is either recording or intends recording another show. Her Twitter has her in Pisa today, I know not what for - maybe connected in some way. Do you want me to tweet the question about next TV show?

The book sounds good (urban-ish style, rather than country style).

Aye, if you'd like an excuse to get in touch with your idol, that'd be fab

Seems she's more your idol sweetie as you have the book. If you have twitter, follow her and ask the question. I am busy with other stuff at the moment
