How am I going to get my car from between two parked cars. The one in front wasnt there when I parked and I had enough room to get out and still could if the car behind me wasnt illegelly parked, the front is nearly touching me and it is parked beyond the boundry into the road behind sticking out.

I'm famously 'inexperienced' at parking (after driving for thirty years) but I think there's no excuse for the kind of careless, inconsiderate parking you've had blocking your car this morning.

I hope you got out of there without waiting too long, JJ.

Blimey, still stuck. I hope you are leaving notes on their windscreens asking them to think a bit more next time.

I would be bent down at the wheels, letting the air out, on the basis that if I couldn't go anywhere, then neither should they...

Ha ha didnt think of letting tyres down. lol. got back and car gone so have moved my car to where it should be which is outside my house. Parked it just after 7am saturday morning when I got home from work. We use OH's car at weekends and kept meaning to move mine when space became available but forgot serves me right. People park here to go into town or work and I have a permit for which I pay £12 a year for but not all spaces are permit parking only.

Don't get me started on illegal parking - still having no joy with the police/council regarding the numpty up the road. And they wonder why people take matters into their own hands.

                        You have my every sympathy!

I did put a note on the windscreen saying ' thank you so much for blocking me in ' OH told me to glue it to the windscreen but I couldnt do that cos knowing me I would be the one in trouble. I just hope the warden was in time to give them a parking ticket, but I doubt it. Ploice have left a message on the answer phone but I cant hear it very well its distorted.

That reminds me of an incident when I was at secondary school. There were only 3 parking places for teachers (it was enough, because most of them lived close enough to walk, or caught a bus) and the car normally parked in the middle was a mini. One day half-a-dozen 6th-formers decided to have a bit of fun. They picked up the mini, rotated it to 'crossways' and put it down again. It was JUST short enough to fit, but no way could it be removed until both the other cars were away.
Unfortunately for the jokers, the teacher who owned the mini saw them, and before they had gone far he called them back to replace it......

A friend of mine knew a huge guy with a big American car. If he wanted to park in the street, and there was a mini or something small next to a space, him and his mate would pick it up and put it on the pavement, then park their car in the gap!
