My goodness me, when it rains here it certainly does rain.
It started about 2 hours ago, and already the water is up to the wheel rims on our cars, and the roads outside are deluged.
The big park behind me is completely submerged to at least a depth of a foot, when it was bone dry this morning, and I'm not totally sure, but I could have seen a large vessel with many pairs of animals hanging off the side heading Mount Sinaii direction.

It is a touch damp. Its just stopped raining but the bottom floor of the house is underwater and all of the drains are now full, so no showers or going to the loo cos it just backs up.
        Tasty!!

Ewww, how unpleasant! How long does it usually take to drain away? Or is this not a common occurrence?

              Nowhere near enough Zazen!!
Karachi is an old city with poor drainage. If it keeps raining then it wont drain.
The city heirarchy, in their infinite wisdom, built 2 new underpasses on the new road that circles the northern part of the city, and whilst I am nowhere near them, I just know that they are both closed and fully submerged. Last time it rained 2 cars got stuck and 4 people didnt get out in time.
Have just been outside to check on the guards and they are properly wet, not even just a little bit. However, even inside I am equally wet as the rain has flooded through my aircon for the last 20 minutes and turned my bed into a water bed. Bonus.
