  • Best excuse I've heard for not making me a cuppa

Himself made himself a cuppa earlier, without even offering me one. When challenged he turns round and says it was because of the credit crunch!!! Apparently putting more water than you need in the kettle uses too much energy, and therefore by not making me one he was saving us money. How selfless

So, come on peeps, what rubbish excuses has your OH come up with for not making you one?

lol - cracking excuse. I honestly don't think my OH has ever made an excuse to get out of making me tea. I'm spoiled - I always get tea served to me when I want it!!

In fairness, I'd return the favour anytime!!

There's been the odd occasion where Andi's just made one for him & excuse will be "Oh,I didn't know you wanted one"..err...did you not think to ask,but majority off the time whoever gets thirstiest 1st makes for both.
I'd suggest next time you cook him up something special you use the excuse that a tin of dogfood is cheaper than steak...credit crunch!!

Tanin in tea can be harmful to the skin, so why would I want to spoil such a wonderful complexion

Mr Sheds would rather go without a cuppa, than have to make me one as well.

After umpteen years I can't make coffee to OH's satisfaction so I just don't bother now!

PS If asked, I make her a coffee and she proceeds to chuck it down the sink!eek.....Can't imagine why? wink

And how many brain cells did he use? So, using a kettle twice with the correct amount of water each time uses less energy than making two cups of tea from one boiling

"I never make it exactly how you like so it is a waste of a teabag. Better that you make your own and get it just right"

D'uh . . . However, he does have his uses therefore is excused (and usually does make me rubbish cups of tea so it is easier to make my own)!
