Thanks for the heads up on that one piskieinboots. Beechgrove was the programme of choice when Gardener's World lost Monty Don. Now Monty's back we've got two quality gardening shows to watch.
It is the doom of man, that they forget.

Had a visit to Beechgrove as an outing with the Scottish Branch of the NVS. Remember what you see on the TV is effectively a film set. They don't have the staff or the resources to keep it all shiny and bright but it was an experience not to be missed despite that. Jim McColl gave us the tour himself.

Why does it start so late GW is on from the 9th March.
            Love the programme

It's BBC Scotland Mikey, not sure if you'd get that. I too watch on Sky. I think Bren sometimes gets it on the I-player. Smashing programme with down to earth presenters.

I've never heard of it either but there are some clips here BBC One - Beechgrove Garden
just for a taster!. It does look like a real honest to goodness gardening programme - none of these overpaid celebrities who, not content with being gardeners become "experts" in other fields like writing cookery books, fiction and presenting classical music etc.

Just noticed that it is on BBC2 Scotland not BBC1 so I am not sure if we can get it on Sky anymore.

We don't have Sky so I pick the program up on iPlayer.

As soon as I see the title to this thread the theme music starts running through my head!
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
