  • The bats are out....

I have just shut my curtains and the bats are out.
There is only one at the moment but sometimes we have 3. I love watching them wizz about.
If we stand in the middle of our garden they fly around us very close.

Now that's great Sharon. I have a bat box and a largish pond but only ever get the fleeting glimpse at this time of night. Did wonder about getting 1 of those detectors

As we live on the edge of the village and we get them alot.
I think they come from the barns at the farm not far away.

Could be, also don't think my bat box is high enough...... Had a fun time at Harlow Carr recently when we spotted a blue tit squeezing OUT of a bat box....

The hole certainly is, it was having a hard time getting out, we thought it may have gone in after insects

Once it was out I don't think it would have gone back in again in a hurry...

Must have a look for ours tonight, we usually get one or two flying round the garden every year now.
