  • Bashful Bill - update thread

Today is the first day of a bright new chapter in our lives. At 11:50am we have an appointment to see the doctor and she will check there isnt anything physicaly wrong before we go on to chat about anything else which may be at the root of our problems. In some ways I hope they find something wrong as then there is a reason and we can treat it. I dont even mind if they find it is poor parenting skills - I will do anything to help my bright, loving, sensitive, energetic boy.

I shall use this thread to keep you informed as I know several of you are interested in how we get on and in supporting me. Thanks for all the support so far, it means the world to me. Yet again the vine is helping me along a very rocky road, providing little blooms of encouragement and sheilding me from the thorns of self doubt.

Polite request; please only post on this thread if you would like to support me. Ideas, suggestions and recollections are most welcome but not those which are in breach of UK law. I have already had a thread closed because of this and so didnt get a chance to thank the people who DID post supportive comments. To make this clear - On this thread I will not comment on the issue of smacking and neither will you. Thanks.

Good luck at the doc's Finedon Dandy. My youngest son had a lot of problems in his first school (he has aspergers syndrome). One teacher even described him as the worst she had ever taught.

He now has a degree and masters in theoretical physics and is studying for a doctorate phd.

Good luck Tammy. As you say, even if it is something that you don't really want to hear it is better to know what is causing the problems so that you can work towards helping him (and you )
