  • Ban it? What's HeyWayne going to say?

Apparently Denmark has banned Marmite because it has too many added vitamins. How ridiculous is that?

My first thought was "OMG how ridiculous" but then, when you hear about all the other foodstuffs they've banned, and the reasoning, it doesn't sound quite so daft. Or is it just me?

We best get a counter petition going Bren before there is only a second rate poor imitation product (that ends with *mite) available

Pity they don't ban the terrible conditions their pigs are kept in too... 'Danish' bacon never crosses my lips or threshold...

                    What else have they banned?

There is nothing bad at all in marmite, only thing is it is quite salty but if people are going to eat too much salt, they will do it anyway. It is rediculous.

I am a Burton girl - home of beer (once upon a time) and Marmite, ooh also Bovril. We all love Marmite in this house but open the windows and you can get your vits for the day just drinking in the vapours. I never bought Danepack and now never will. Packington Pork or Maynards for us - support British all the way! English if I can get away with it but dint tell Chrismarks or Aberdeenplotter! Only joking boys ;-)

If I've eaten breakfast before Mr Pots and he decides to have Marmite I 'have' to have a slice, I just I can't resist the small of Marmite
