    Default B&Q heated propagator £12.98

Just thought i would tip you all the wink that i purchased a medium sized , 8 watt heated propagator at B&Q today for £12.98.

They had a big stack of them in the promotion aisle along with un-heated ones too.

It's not massive but it's a step up from using plastic bags an radiators for the kitchen garden grower, and at £12.98 it's not breaking the bank, it's worth it to save on radiator space an bags

thought i best tell you all.

I've got one of these and I think it's great. Mind you it's the only heated propagator I have ever had, so I have nothing to compare it to!

I'm quite tempted to buy another one, except I am already running out of space to move the germinated seedlings to - the unheated greenhouse is still far too cold.

Hi Wren. Sounds good, might have to pop to B&Q tomorrow.
How large is the base? What can you fit into it? A Half tray, or a whole tray? If you got internal measurements, that will be great.
    Thanks in advance.

So**s Law I bet it is the same one I bought for about £18 back in middle of January, Sankey growarm 100, has an 8 watt, heated base ,holds 2 half sized seed trays!

Still my early toms chilli's and peppers are doing well! They will need potting on in just a few days! I sowed them on 22 Jan, they are little leggy, lack of light but I will plant them deeper when I pot them on, give them a nice root system!

The measurements on the box say Hight..19cm, Width..38cm, Diameter..24cm. Looks like you could fit a whole tray into it.

My tomato's are going in tomorrow.

I cant see any referance to that make on the box.

Great tip - I bought a pair of these two years ago, and they're still (just) working ok. Bargain!
