Default Autumn Colours

Well that's the Equinox past us and it wasnt tooo bad. I am quite thrilled that the garden still has a bit of colour in it. The last three days have been our "summer" - blue skies, lovely sunshine, warm (behind glass) and frost at night. But we are not complaining ................

and a lovely sunset last night

An even better sunset tonight, but not sure the camera has caught it so well. Thank you for letting me share these with you.

What about the Autumn colours in your garden?

Thanks for the pics Jennie. Just great. I hope everybody will post their autumn pics - whether it's plants still in bloom, frosty mornings or trees turning colour.

Nice sunset Jennie! It's enough to make you want to pick up a paint brush and start painting, with views like that!

Still colour in the garden here. Our little potted acer goes through beautiful shades before the leaves fall - it will soon be going into the greenhouse for its hibernation.
The fuchsia is one I've had for many years - before we came here 8 years ago. It looks dead until about June. I snip off the ends of the branches where it dies back a little and then off it goes.

What beautiful colours in the Acer Flummery. I would love to grow one here. Tried, but with no success. I think there may be a bit too much salt in the air. My fuschia flowers finished a while back and with the equinox gales the bush is looking sadly black!
