The Film. The most depressing film I've ever seen, except maybe Legends of the Fall. Sheesh!

I feel the need to feed Ms Knightley a cream bun, too!

I haven't seen the film but did start the book. Only started it, mind!

Haven't seen it. Is this the film of the Ian McEwan novel? I used to love Ian McEwan, but frankly I'm no longer prepared to pay nearly £8 for a novel that's only going to last me an hour or two, - there's not much substance to them - going to the cinema would be cheaper.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Or buy it from a charity shop/amazon.

Film was better than I was expecting - but then I wasn't expecting much (I don't like period dramas).

She does need a feed though.

The film was over-long, and slow.

The book, I loved! One of my all-time favourites

Oh good. Not just me, then! I was lent it by a friend and her husband, both saying 'fantastic film', blah blah. I got more and more annoyed by the swapping between past and present (just tell the damned story!!!) and felt so negative when I went to bed, I had constant nightmares all night and am knackered this morning, as at one point I was too stressed to go back to sleep and so lay with the light on and had a kitty cuddle!

That's two hours of my life I won't get back. Heck, I'm still annoyed, think I need some lolcats!!

The book is MUCH better than the film which, as often the way, changed things and not in a good way. Then again, I rarely like films when I've already read the book as people just don't look like they did in my head, usually cos Hollywood think you need to sex it all up.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
