Yep.... white over the roof tops and on the ground here in North Oxfordshire!

First one of the year for us!

Ahh the evocotive sound of scraper on windscreen with engines left running......winter's here!

Could it be that I'm a townie?
I am certain that the day my boat comes in, I'll be at the airport.

Yes, we had our first frost on Friday night here in rural Kent.

Rather early for us - usually don't lose the dahlias until November. Veg garden looks very sad, with the squashes and courgettes all dying.

If it stops raining, it means a clearing-up day for me.

It's still 30 degrees C here in Singapore.
Don't be jealous ... we fly home to Blighty tonight (13 hrs). I can't wait to see my allotment again, even if it is winter x

There was frost here on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but none this morning. The mini-greenhouse has been brought back into action to try and prolong the cucumbers, but to be honest, I'm not exactly in salad mode anymore!

and the sound of people screaming when they've just popped back into the house for a second, leaving said motor running, and come out to find someones nicked it

Well, the pumpkins, squash and courgettes have all been hit by frost. The squashes (all 5 of 'em) are all only about 2-3 inches long. The pumpkin is about the size of a melon and green, the courgettes have finished now anyway.

Sweetcorn - I harvested pretty much all of what I had. I ended up with one decent cob - the rest all were about half pollenated.

Oh well, there's always next year!
